Duende, 2008

Intaglio Print (1/3), 42” x 84” (107cm x 213cm)

The “duende” as represented by the presence of a figure in a doorway, neither coming nor going, but yet present.

The joy of life in the face of death - Nietzsche’s birth of tragedy, the encounter and struggle with the muse on the edge of the abyss.

The urgent need to get it right while there is still time.

The “duende” is the reminder and the silent witness of our actions.
