Balanced, 2016

Travertine, black granite;

153cm x 95cm x 100cm high

This sculpture visualizes the shared values of mind and body. Precariously stacked, these forms carved in the shape of coins, become a metaphor for thoughts and value patterns. It exposes for thoughtful consideration the thin line of balance, where gravity and weight of thought intermingle.

Res Ipsa Loquitur! ... is a good example of John Greer's conceptual approach to the art of stone carving. Things speak for themselves. Look around the corner: Res Ipsa Loquitur! , 2005 - 2009
