JOHN GREER
JOHN GREER

Continuum, 2005

Bronze; 24 x 31 x 66 cm (91/2" x 12" x 26")

This work is referring to a fragment from prehistoric Greece about 5000 BP. It is a fragment of a human head with two feet on the forehead, as if symbolizing one link in a chain of humanity. A sense of the timelessness of the present moment of consciousness itself.

Res Ipsa Loquitur! ... is a good example of John Greer's conceptual approach to the art of stone carving. Things speak for themselves. Look around the corner: Res Ipsa Loquitur! , 2005 - 2009
