Mixed Media Works

JOHN GREER is an object maker. His work now and then is rooted in conceptual thought. Material in service to the idea. On this page you can find a selection of multi media works, new and old. You can find more of these in the pages: Art Up - On Life.

Wait of Water by John Greer, 2014 Bay of Fundy Detail of Wait of Water, October 9th, 2014; retroActive tied up, tide down, looking back across the bay where the piece was first realized in 1972

Project: Post-marker cards, Six Points of a Shadow, 1969/70

As discussed in various exhibitions and on CBC radio, this artwork by John Greer may have been the largest conceptual drawing to date: A paper airplane was drawn by John on a map and the connecting points were realized in real life through sending postcards to the post office in the respective real world location as pointed out on the map. Thus a drawing in real space was created.

More recent multi media works for the exhibition Paradisi, 2019

Res Ipsa Loquitur! ... is a good example of John Greer's conceptual approach to the art of stone carving. Things speak for themselves. Look around the corner: Res Ipsa Loquitur! , 2005 - 2009
