North / South Dialogue, 2008-2009

In this work the backs of 2 figures are carved out of a grey Italian marble. The imagery is sourced from archaic Greece. The figures are face-to-face but not eye-to-eye, expressing the always-difficult dialogue – the human dynamic of trying to understand the other.
