Sleeper 2005 -

(unfinished)

White Italian marble, to be installed on a square granite base:
150 x 150 x 170 cm (60” x 60” x 69”)

This sculpture is source based on a Greek fragment of a caryatid that was used as a structural member for holding up an institutional edifice. Western culture is presently on a decent as if falling into deep sleep. This is a precarious state of no return. Change is necessary but unconscious decent is extremely dangerous.
